I believe this has been answered elsewhere but I can help you.
I just beat mine as a Monk in no time flat (Thanks to these forums)
Remove all your skills form the skill bar except divine boom.
Max out smiting and out the rest in divine.
Make sure to have a max dmg weapon equipped.
All I did was use my staff on him. He will cast divine boom once. You just keep casting divine boom whenever you need more health.
Your have him dead in under 30 seconds.

How I made it past easly
I use a Ranger/Monk combo and it was easy once I figured out that he would not use symbol of wrath against me. All I did was go find myself the best affordable shield if i had not found one already, load up aegis if you have it, symbol of wrath and pacifism, i would cast aegis on him very first thing so you can run up to him and he can only attack with his axe, once in a while he will a couple seconds break to cast healing on himself, cast pacifism on him, cast aegis on yourself when it looks like he will be attacking, heal if needed and then just keep symbol of wrath on him, i got mine in like 45 seconds by just using my shield to block most of the attacks.
You could possibly use retribution as well, but i would not take any other smite spells if possible.
Hope it helps

What about this...
Get Deffesnive Stance (75% Chance to evade Melle/Arrows for 5 energy), get good armor for when he does hit you, and an 11-22 Smiting Staff?
All I'd need is the Skill and Armor... i've got that staff.... I think that'd work. That way he cant block my Magical Projectiles, but I can block his arrows.
Would that work?

That's nice if you have some points in smiting, but why bother? You can just take breeze, he doesn't use it. Leave your other slots blank. Wand him to death. Life attunement is another nice one to throw in, it makes him do less damage. Fury is nice too. Double damage for your wand.
